Adrian Field has led evaluation assignments for the past ten years, building on previous experience in research and policy roles in the public, private, academic and NGO sectors. Adrian’s experience has traversed such areas as health, social services, transport, sport and recreation, local government, and urban and environmental planning. His work helps individuals and organisations make decisions about funding, service development, and delivery. Adrian also works with community organisations in evaluation capacity building, to explore the changes that they are seeking to make, and to develop practical ways of measuring their impact.
Adrian works with clients and collaborators to find engaging ways to report and present evaluation findings, so that the learning from evaluation can have widespread uptake. Adrian is particularly interested in bringing to the surface the learning from innovations in services, technology and practice.
Adrian is an honorary academic at the School of Population Health (University of Auckland). He is an elected board member of Aotearoa-New Zealand Evaluation Association (ANZEA). He has a PhD in public health, focusing on the role of urban environments in health and wellbeing.
